Boca Raton, FL (Feb. 15, 2010) – MatchPoint Ministries (MPM) is proud to announce
the 2nd annual
Spiritually Tough Tennis Awards Breakfast with the Pros
to be held on February 27th, 2010, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at at
Susanne Siegler's home on the Inter-coastal. The theme will be "From Tennis to The Tap, Serving Aces for God’s Kingdom."
"If it wasn’t for what I learned competing and teaching on the tennis court, I never would have gained the confidence
to succeed in the business we are all in, the business of life. While I only played Men’s Open tournaments (with a
high ranking of #12 in Florida), the discipline, strategy and quick decision making required on the tennis court goes
a long way after the rackets are packed away," stated the best-selling author of "The Tap."
"I am honored to contribute to the good works of Match Point and am thankful for their involvement of our Caring House
Project Foundation at this year’s event," added McKinney.
The Awards Breakfast, hosted by Scott Williams, founder of Match Point Ministries (MPM), author of "Serious Tennis"
and host of the popular DVD series, Spiritually Tough Tennis (STT), will honor amateur and professional tennis players
and coaches with the ACE Awards of Excellence for their contributions in service and philanthropic efforts off the courts
as well as their sportsmanship on the courts.
"We created this event as an outreach to create awareness of the tennis and media ministry and to help raise funds to
support the Good Sports radio/tv programs, STT summer camp scholarships and activities associated with Match Point Ministries.
We are excited to team up to help the great work of Frank’s Caring House Project Foundation and relief work in Haiti,"
said MPM Executive Director Carl Foster.
This 2nd ACE Awards event will honor the Cleveland Family of Boca Raton, Florida, as STT Family of the Year;
Ryan Fitzwilliam, Tennis Coach of the Year; Jim Martz, Good Sports Media Service Award and
